Our department saw several visitors arrive to our F-Wing at Discovery Park this past Friday, Dec. 1st. Professionals from academia & industry fields across the globe joined the UNT Department of Computer Science for the 2023 NSF Cybertraining Workshop on Connected & Autonomous Vehicles.

Hosted by Associate Professor, Dr. Qing Yang, and Professor/Associate Chair of Research, Dr. Song Fu, the workshop sparked discussion on the advancement of automation systems that have become a main-stay in automotive assembly by industry giants. In addition, the respective research students also used the opportunity to learn, network, and present their projects for feedback during the workshop.

This workshop comes ahead of the autonomous vehicle demonstration, hosted by Dr. Song Fu, to be held on Friday, Dec. 15th.
